ALONG OUR DRIVEWAY
I saw a deer the other night
Walking across our drive…
I could not tell whether “he” or “she”,
But was glad they will thrive.

In our town most folks keep
Their dogs upon a leash…
At 2 AM a deer like that
Is safer now—capiche? 🙂
