This is a true story. You may not believe it, but it’s true.
For all birds, leaving the nest is a hazardous time and the bird has to learn fast to avoid predators. The young birds leave the nest and move about on the ground and on low branches for a few days before they can fly. Their parents are nearby and continue to care for the birds, answering their demanding calls with regular deliveries of food. The last two days, Mr. Bowie, a natural born ornithologist, helped Blackbird parents and looked after their little one while they were busy.
No animals (Blackbirds or cats) were harmed, killed or eaten during the shooting of these photographs. You may not believe it, but it’s true. And they lived happily ever after.
