I AM and You Are!

“I am an Overcomer!” 

Imagine being locked in your bedroom for 7 days so that your children would not see the black eyes and swollen lips you received during a fight with your boyfriend.  Close your eyes and hear the sounds of tiny voices outside the door asking if they can see their mom.  With the oldest, wishing he could open the door just so he can confirm what he was thinking.  This was the kind of love I identified with until I begin to learn different.

I am an OVERCOMER.  YOU can become one too.  First, you must realize you are in an abusive relationship.  One in every four women will experience domestic violence at least once in their lifetime.  Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior that includes the use or threat of violence and intimidation for the purpose of gaining power and control over another person.  Violence…
