3.  SEVEN TIDBITS OF INFORMATION:

-I am a guy who is an appreciative follower of women…especially my wife. 🙂

-Have written worship materials for my church and lesson plans for school.

-I acknowledge the natural sinful nature of all human beings…but also the potential to respond positively to their personal Creator by learning about and serving Him, as defined by the Bible.

-I know, believe and have seen God’s grace present in many parts of life and in places and passages where the legalistic among us would want to deny it being there.

-I appreciate children and some say I’m “good with them”, but seeing them is also a lasting source of pain and even envy for those able to have and take good care of them–something denied my wife and I–and me, personally (any more said would be, I feel….”T.M.I.”).

-junk food is relatively cheap (or used to be!) and delicious…even if NOT good for you.

-nearly everyone has a story to tell in any number of media…some have more than one!!!  🙂

Thank you so much, I am honored to be on that list and I look forward to exploring the others you linked. I appreciate your honesty in your statements about yourself. I share your faith in God and I live with a similar kind of pain as you mentioned. One of our sons, now 28 years old, has lifelong multiple disabilities. I often feel that parents of typical children do not totally understand my life and/or just cannot be as appreciative of “average” achievers as they should be. It is helpful to be reminded (as you have done here) that we ALL have sources of sorrow and should be as kind as possible to each other. Thanks again for remembering my blog.

Jonathan, what an interesting 7 things, and can relate to the 5th a bit, I think…You seem like you have your feet firmly on the ground, and your mind in the heavens, so what a great combination.

Thank you for the awards. I’ll be posting presently, and I’ll give you a hoot-n-holler when i do. Have a great rest of your weekend. 🙂

I appreciate you saying so. My wife had polycystic ovaries (before her endometrial cancer) and I was tested and found infertile. In a way it “worked out”…..I’ve had to gradually take on the personal care of Diana, and I JUST CAN’T DO EVERYTHING!!!! 🙂
Thank you also for your kindness about my spiritual condition. They say that becoming more mature in the Lord makes one even more acutely aware of the need for His Grace to get through and endure—-I’m certainly there! 🙂

Congratulations & thank you very much for thinking of Uncharted Revelations- Sadly, I have been neglecting that poor site the last few weeks because I’ve been busy with the stories running on Fictional Machines & Arcane Arrangements- But I plan on returning to work on it very soon– Keep up the great work over there & have a great weekend! 🙂

Congratulations, Jonathan, on this wonderful trio of awards and thank you so much for including me on your list. I am truly honored. I also have to be honest in saying that I’m not accepting awards anymore, due to the time constrictions, so I hope you understand. I’ve been blogging for almost 2 years and time is not the same…If you choose to pass “mine” onto someone who would follow through, please feel free, otherwise, I am still truly honored.
It’s also wonderful to know you are a man of faith and I’m sorry to read about your pain regarding having children. We have a son and daughter, 18 & 21, and we’ve been blessed to have “great” kids. But, last fall, my daughter was diagnosed with a rare liver/bile duct disease in which there is no cure, except a liver transplant in the next 5-10 years. She’s healthy and doesn’t smoke, drink or do drugs, so this was a surprise. We went through “why her” phase, lots of crying and pain when first reading about this horrible disease and my hubby and I wanting to trade places with her. Now, we’re dealing with it.
She’s on meds with no side effects and is feeling good, so it’s one of those “gray” diseases, where we just “wait and see.” But, if and when the symptoms resurface, it’s not good, so we’re giving all our worries to God and putting them in His Hands. I don’t know why I’m telling you all of this, but I don’t talk about it on my blog. I don’t want her to see. She’s very optimistic and knows we share this and need more prayers, but it’s all about the “here and now.” You’ll see that’s my cover photo on my blog. My son took the photo and it’s my daughter’s motto.
Anyway, thanks for listening and for the nominations again. Take care and have a wonderful weekend. Lauren 🙂

Lauren—I am honored to have you be honored, even if time constraints forbid going through the legwork. I had to refuse another nomination the same day I received this one. Perhaps you needed to tell the story again and I was here at the right time. My wife has the need to tell her story (abused as a chilld by an older half-brother….plus 20-year survivor of endometrial cancer this Sept.)…not as often now, but still does. I think it is a part of dealing with the great loss and anguish. Your story is safe with me…and God. 🙂

Jonathan – thank you so much for this gift – I am honored. I want to congratulate you as well! I am a newby to your site, but I must say, I feel very at home here and enjoy reading your work as well as the others you feature. My time has a bit scattered as of late, with the expectations of settling down after school starts, but please know, if i disappear for a few days, i am not gone – I am in the shadows ready to pounce:)
