By the Mighty Mumford

Comes ’round Christmas time each year,

Time to plan for my wife’s cheer…

Making tracks

To th’Adirondacks,

Her family’s voice to hear.

Planning time and getting covered,

Asking the boss with timing leveraged…

Before a younger

Slates his hunger,

For family time, to be mothered.

Working through my schedule early,

Getting in first before the squirrelly…

Take away the chance to breathe

Mountain air and wood smoke wreath,

A blessed time for family, surely!
