We woke to more snow this morning. The school in Herreid and several South Dakota towns was called off. James and Kathy still had to get in the vehicle and drive to Linton. You would think they are off more because the Supt. drives from quite a distance, but not so. Anyway, I took some time to get the mail and drop off an electric bill. Here is what it looked like outside our house this morning.

We have too great a disconnect between learning and earning a living, or at least that is a major issue in our area of the country. Too many of our young people see Dad, mom, aunts, uncles and such making a decent amount of money without an advanced degree and the mindset is that you don’t need…
