I was looking forward to being able to sleep in this morning a bit. Still being a bit sleep deprived from my road trip last week, I was all snuggled in bed snoozing away.

But someone else in the house had different ideas. This little ‘person’ is my black and white cat named Tuxedo. He came bounding in all cheery like, jumping on my chest purring and kneading away. He meowed Good Morning, and promptly jumped off. Of course, this being the cue that I was supposed to get up and follow him to tend to his needs.


I really shouldn’t complain too much as he used to do this at 4:30 in the morning. Now that it is colder, he’s now sleeping to the late hour of 6:00 a.m., before the dawn and even the birds are awake. Groaning, I flipped over and prayed he wouldn’t return. Usually I…
