AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU

AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU

(1st Corinthians 6:8-20)

Easier to ignore God’s word,

Than to have one’s comfort disturbed…

Watch whatever you want

As long as one does not flaunt,

Portrayal of the evil served.

Christians will give an accounting

Of inner transgressions mounting…

Many don’t realize

That compromise

Is proof of not growing up soundly.

Once with Jesus we’re washed,

To go back to sin is a wash…

The natural mind

Is still inclined

To think of morals as pish-tosh.

For a spirit, once cleaned,*

But not occupied “ain’t” redeemed…

When allowing in

Similar sin,

Is ripe for being gleaned.

So, whom will you serve,

The world, in your private preserve?…

Or be set apart,

Fully give your heart

To God without reserve!
