THANK GOODNESS…

THANK GOODNESS…

Working stiffs are wearing weary,

Getting harder to be cheery…

Even bright eyes going dim

Losing vigor and their vim,

At week’s end we may pay dearly.

Work time often means tense

Negotiations following hence…

Nice to have a little break

To sit back and partake

Of our lives behind a fence!

Weekend chores are still a rest

From doing bosses’ behest…

Spending time

To recline,

After doing all our best.
