By the Mighty Mumford

When Daria laughs I’ve found

It such a beautiful sound…

Knowing that she

Finds such glee

In life as it abounds.

She bursts out when Eric’s

Comments throw her in hysterics…

She throws back her hair

And lights up our air,

A joyful sound in these old barracks!

But serious she can be and how,

When a job’s to be done she’s a plow…

Who does this with grace

‘Spite a serious face,

Then hear her laugh at noontime chow!

If I had any say, I’d keep her,

We old guys can’t get sunshine much cheaper…

Then to listen awhile

Or watch for her smile,

She’s a nice cup of tea that’s had time to steep.
