Happy first day of Spring, Modern Philosophers!
Of course, just because the Calendar Commission says the season starts today, it doesn’t mean it’s actually arrived in Maine.
I celebrated Spring’s arrival by getting up early to shovel snow in the pouring rain. Yes, it snowed after I went to bed, so there was a few inches of wet, heavy white stuff that needed to be cleared before breakfast.
It started to pour when I was halfway done with the driveway. I just kept telling myself “It’s Spring now, so at least it’s not snow.” You’ve always got to find the silver linings.
The day did not get better because my first destination was the dentist. I’ve shared my fear of dentists on this blog before, Modern Philosophers, so you know that this was shaping up to be quite the stressful morning. Driving in snow to the dentist is a great…
