Robin fluffing starts,
Early bird catches frozen berries…
Fruit smoothies on tap.

Salty sand gizzards,
Preseasoning all entrees…
Road sand recycling!

Tough bird’s conditions,
Competition gets fiercer…
Wade into battle!

Off a short pier’s end,
Hardly worth a stolen kiss…
New suitor treads water!

Wintry winds wave branches,
Song birds hold on for dear life…
Singing: a mouthful!
–
Hope for flowers soon,
Croci and daffodils burst..
Maybe overnight?
