HAIRY CUPS

YUCKY-POO!!!!

OUR POETRY CORNER

HAIRY CUPS

Find hair on the lip of the cup….

A gross-out factor abrupt…

Unless with long hair

Or a kitty cat’s spare.

Aggravation is more than enough!

THE WATER’S DONE GONE!

GLAD SOMEBODY COMPLAINED!!!!

OUR POETRY CORNER

THE WATER’S DONE GONE!

In the afore-mentioned company,

Quite nameless but flooded yearly….

The men’s room is dry

Someone heard the cry,

And fixed waters running so free.

Our thanks to those maintenance guys

Who may have been surprised

No-one had complained

About toilets drained

For a year but just rolled their eyes.

Now I know that a word indirect,

While still not the best has effect…

The themed refrain,

“YES, PLEASE DO COMPLAIN,”

Has more influence than we’d expect.

The end of our story, the chance

To no longer sit in wet pants…

The grout’s even dry

And now we know why,

If only sooner we’d given them the chance!

In Loving Memory of Dawn Harrison

I’M SO SORRY!

Mommy’s Madness

Our family has suffered another tragedy today.

Jumping off hay bales in the hay loft, feeding the calves at 5am. Playing hide and seek in the barn. We’d reenact the dance scenes from dirty dancing over and over, and get up early as ever to watch Captain Planet on Saturdays.
I remember the time we went skinny dipping in the beck and Chris (my brother) and Hannah (her sister) stole our clothes and we had to walk back in our underwear and bare…

I’m going to be totally honest and say Matt and I didn’t do as much hiking and exploring the great outdoors while camping this time around. We spent our first two nights in Watkins Glen State Park, and the following two nights in Taughannock Falls State Park. We were both pretty disappointed in Watkins Glen State Park. I think the Bruce kind of ruined everything for us. We just kept comparing the two, and well, State/Provincial Parks just can’t compare to the natural beauty of a National Park.  We were not close to any body of water in Watkins Glen, and you could literally hike about 20 mins to the village. Which ended up being fine, as we spent a lot of time exploring the small villages around the Finger Lakes. These towns/villages have the most insanely beautiful and historical homes. I would kill a man just…
