For those of you who aren’t aware, there are studies claiming that depression changes your brain. Some claim that the changes are permanent depending on how severe and frequent your depression is and others claim it can be undone by various forms of treatment (mostly therapy/medication). I truly believe that I am capable (as well as you) of whatever I aim to achieve (mentally) and regardless of whatever changes someone experiences, it takes nothing more than effort and motivation to reclaim the mental space. I hate to wave this flag because I judge no one for their choices in treatment, but this is another reason I’m not a fan of medication because any drug (legal or not) changes brain functions and seems to fester.
