A parking lot sweeper

Is taking stuff I thought a keeper…

Colored sand

In demand,

It really is a weeper!

Ballasting my model trains,

I thought that these sand grains…

Properly sized

Utilized

Would look good out on “the main”.

–

There was plenty there,

Until swept up (no fair!)…

Now I argue

The thing to do

Is to wire the track with care.

–

Then…maybe next year

My situation will clear…

Scooping up sand

With modeling hand,

To provide scenic railroad cheer!
