FAR AFIELD

FAR AFIELD

The regular Postal guy

Asked me if the young geese could fly…

I couldn’t see

Them hiding from me,

Goose Management probably was why.

While closing gates I spotted

The goose family out-trotted…

Their plumage was there

To soon take to air,

Exactly as Management plotted!

Soon all will be chased away,

Momma with a broken wing may stay…

Perhaps picked up

By a rent-a-goose truck,

And given a breeding okay?

Power Plant Law of the Hog

ONE DAY BEHIND SCEDULE WITH A WHOLE LOT MORE RUNNING TO DO!!!!

Power Plant Men

Power Plant Men learned about the “Law of the Hog” the first day they were introduced to the new “Quality Process”.  I recently wrote a post about how the Power Plant Men at the Coal-fired Power Plant in North Central Oklahoma were trained to use various tools to help them formulate ideas quality improvement ideas at the plant in June, 1993.  See the post “A Chance for Power Plant Men to Show Their Quality“.  Even though we were hearing about the “Law of the Hog” for the first time, I recognized it right away.  I had seen it in action the previous November 3, 1992.

What better way to convince a room full of skeptical Power Plant Men that the Quality Process is about improving the conditions at the plant than by first telling them what they already know in such a way that from then on they…

B.B. WARFIELD…A MAN TO KNOW

SOME EXCELLENT CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE, FROM MR. WARFIELD.

OUR POETRY CORNER

B.B. WARFIELD…A MAN TO KNOW

by Jonathan Caswell

Some of us never made it to Bible School,

But listening to Christian radio is cool…

Around here, Pastor Mike,

Has a program I like,

His NO COMPROMISE RADIO Bible tool.

It is on WVNE,

Seven-sixty A.M., weekdaily,

Three-thirty to four

I often get more

Than just good theology.

B. B. Warfield was featured this week,

A theologian who knew how to speak…

In a logical way

How God wants to play,

And how best His favor to seek.

Pastor Mike  Abendroth (try to pronounce his name!)

Respectfully treats all the same…

Those with which he agrees

Suffer like him on their knees,

Striving hard for souls in His Name.

A Reflection~by Marie Falck

SHE REFLECTS VERY WELL ON HER MAKER!!!!

OUR POETRY CORNER

A Reflection

When I look in the mirror
The reflection that I see –
Is the creation of my Father
Who means everything to me
With all my imperfections –
Faults that anyone can see
But, the rivers of mercy,
And grace so amazing –
Are a constant reminder of
His great love and compassion for me!
I’m created in His likeness,
And I really strive to be –
A reflection of my Maker
Who gave His life for me!

Sea of hearts~by Rikki Bertrand

AH…GIVING, COMPASSIONATE LOVE!!!

OUR POETRY CORNER

Sea of hearts

I found a heart on the open sea
I held it my hand.
Its blood was blue,
It beat so true,
Although it was not planned.

A man had thrown it there,
He thought his heart was dead,
He thought there was no love left,
And that his heart could not be fed.

I took the heart and wrapped it up,
I pressed it against my breast,
I felt it start to warm and pound,
And I knew this heart was blessed.

Then on the beach I saw him there,
Lying on the beach close to death.
I turned and I ran to him
To give him my loving breath.

His eyed opened and looked to mine,
And I saw his empty soul.
I kissed him hard with all I had,
To bring him out of his hole.

I gave him back his beating heart,
That I…
