Eye Will Not Cry

We are cursed by time,
as we chase the sun…

In our constant battle,
to look and stay young…

Whilst life’s cruel joke,
recurs again and again…

And superficial Humans,
all want the same…

To hold onto our youth,
the eternal quest…

As it begins to wither,
despite all protests…

And a desperate need,
to feel so wanted…

Be desired, attractive and
not left disappointed…

Whilst life takes its toll and
time begins to ravage…

Each line and each wrinkle,
leaves us feeling so savage…

Because beauty within,
feels like it’s just a myth…

We never believed it and
soft skin we miss…

Paying good money,
in search of any cure…

Trying to turn back time,
whilst remaining so insecure…

Within a painful world,
that promotes the young…

Leaving the experienced,
wondering what we’ve done…

When it’s only Mother Nature,
holding her course…

Be it animal or Human,
be…
