IN SCHOOL

IN SCHOOL

I was asked to draw in-between the lines,

And made to feel ashamed when I didn’t…

A lot of growing up like that

And some do all they’re bidden.

For some of us, God broke the mold

Or hand-formed us just right…

To want to go our own way,

Even if just for spite!

Square peg in a round hole doesn’t mean

We’re oddballs set aside….

Just let us define ourselves some more

And listen to our engines whine!
