AH…THOSE DELICIOUS MEMORIES!!!
WATCHING OTHER PERFORMANCES
Watching CELTIC WOMAN tapes
My memory soon escapes…
Back to a time
Performance was mine,
Behind those opening drapes.
Often in the chorus not solo,
Feeling excitement doing it “just so”…
Or times on stage
Acting not my age,
But needing to stay in tempo.
So nervous the first show done
And relief when all has run
With jumping heart yen
To do it again…
Knowing that you’ve had all your fun.
Oh, the JOY of make-believe
Even when it’s meant to deceive…
Those beautiful girls
Whose voices twirl
You ‘round their fingers with ease!
The letdown of reality
When from the stage one must flee,
Going back to school
The romantic fool…
And relating less successfully!
