OUR POETRY CORNER

ROMANS 7: 14-24; FOR THE DEPRESSED

We do what we don’t want to do

And continue ourselves to be blue…

We sleep way too long

And use our time wrong

‘Till the end of the day is through.

Forgiveness for wasting our days

Won’t grant the time back as replays,

But at least we can know

That we still can flow

The rest of our life different ways.

We do what we don’t wish to do

Feeling powerless to make it through,

The spirit within

A believer knows sin

And that he needs ask what is True.

We pick up ourselves by the nape…

With God’s help affect our escape

From valleys so grim

We look up to Him

To stop playing our own “cassette tape.”
