The Return of the Modern Philosopher

YodaI had

The strangest

Nightmare

Earlier this week.

I had been hired

To rewrite

A screenplay

For a major studio.

I was excited,

And eager

To prove myself.

The director loved

My ideas,

And all

I had to do

Was sell

My vision

To the producer.

The meeting

Took place

At the studio.

Everyone was

So nice to

The screenwriter,

Who was going

To save

The project.

The director

Warned me

That the Producer

Was a tad

β€œUnique”.

I thought

I could handle

Whatever Hollyweird

Threw at me.

I was not prepared,

However,

For Yoda.

β€œYour ideas

Like I do.”

β€œMore changes

To third act

Must you make.”

β€œBetter develop

Conflict please

You must.”

β€œToo confusing

Dialogue it is.”

Huh?Β  What?

I left the meeting

Unsure of what

He wanted

And feeling like

The Dark Side

Of Hollywood

Was calling.

I guess I might

Answer its call,

Though,
