Fairy Dreams~by Eva Marie Dunlap

Fairy Dreams

She was a Fairy that danced in the light of day
With orange hair braided down below her waist,
Toes turned down like a ballerina in dance
With flowers on her feet…

Wearing a yellow sunflower bonnet,
Her body green as a stem on a plant.
Her eyes hazel to match her dress
Ready for the pixie prance…

How she glistened in the dew drops
Of the summers warm rain that fell,
Upon the yellow Sunflower she had alighted on,
So happy her smiling eyes…

That spoke only to those that believe,
Hidden from the rest of the world.
Only those minds of the imagination
Could stare upon her beauty…

Visable to only those with dreams in their hearts.
Her skirt just above her knees,
Reminds me of playing dress up as a child
In costumes made for princesses…

I hunger to go to the land of Fairys
