A man took off running

When he was discharged,

‘Twas hard to take it easy

As his universe enlarged…

So many demands and necessities

Sprang up in the way,

Until he found blood on his sock

And saw he’d over-played.

So this is the upshot–

He’d better slow it down,

All that progress won in time

Is lost if he’s the clown…

Running out of coverage

Wasn’t so ideal,

Being sent back to the E.R.

For him has no appeal!
