NO DIFFERENT “DOWN EAST”
We’d like to visit Maine,
But now it’s much the same…
Melting snow piles
And weary smiles
Waiting for springtime plain.
–
Like us they’re tired
Alternately wired…
By long hours
Fighting snow showers
Paying the extra plows hired.
–
Nearly out of salt
To keep up the lively assault…
Snow-covered roads,
Icy ones goad
Town employees to help out.

Okay, I need to know what part of the world you live in if Maine is near. 🙂 Sitting here in NH today with the snow falling, I’m not sure this winter is ever going to end but I guess it will eventually, and we’ll all be over joyed to be able to be outdoors. 🙂

Try Douglas, Massachusetts…about a half-hour’s drive south of Worcester. Maine is SORT OF…CLOSE!

Neighbors – great! Maine is a beautiful state, and we head north ourselves as often as possible. 🙂
