Cat Over Clock

You’re warm blue,
a blanket, how do I
make you into one color
when you encompass my whole life?
How can I say you’re red,
when I close my eyes in the
sun and feel your
heart beat
and the whole world is a rainbow?
How can you be grey and not
be sadness,
black and not darkness.
You are the rainbow and
I am at the end.
