House of Memories

If these walls could talk

The stories they would tell

Of many feet walking the carpet

Covered floors

Of pencil marks

On the door way

Marking how much we had grown

Of games played inside

And the one’s out.

If these walls could talk

They would tell you

Of family and friends

Growing here

Living here

Laughing here

Learning here

And they would tell you

How hard it is

To say goodbye.
