SLEEPY TIME WORK NIGHT

Eight-twenty seven on a Thursday night,
Sleepiness I must fight…
Wouldn’t be as bad
If I had slept some more last night!

I got up early to write poetry,
Poets take chances faced stoically…
Instead of sleep
We poets keep
Writing heroically!
