LITTLE BELL HOUSE

My State Hospital memories,
Includes a display in the trees…
Containing the bell
That once pealed
Calling the farm workers to beans.
0-
It stood in a roofed display
From Garvin to Main, part-way.
It hadn’t pealed
Bringing work in from fields
Since the farm went away!

The little enclosure squeezed
Along the path, up through arching trees…
The trees are all gone,
Not much left but lawn
I hope they’ve preserved it…PLEASE?
