IT’S HARDER TO RECEIVE…THAN GIVE!

(Google image of the special shoe he wore after surgery)

IT’S HARDER TO RECEIVE…THAN GIVE!

His legs kicked out last October,

His work for six months was over…

The ambulance took

Him to overlook,

A part of the city much older.

He had a blackened big toe,

infected to the bone–had to go…

Both legs were in pain

He tried to refrain

From taking time off, you know!

The next day after admittance

A surgeon took the toe–good riddance…

Losing glasses more than toe

Was his greatest blow,

Writing stuff he couldn’t read, for instance!

In a couple of hospital days,

They found him a Rehab–eleven days–

His progress so fast

He was discharged, homeward -cast,

But for his therapy team—nought but praise.
