SUEDE

THIS IS SUAVE SUEDE!!!

ReChyc'd

I love skirts just as much as I love dresses. My favorite kind of skirt though is the pencil skirt. It is one of the most sexiest articles of clothing without it being vulgar. Today’s skirt is one of the lifetime pieces because pencil skirts and suede never go out of style. Since it is still steamy here in Miami, I’m not quite able to wear this with boots or sweater, so I opted for a chiffon top. I wanted this outfit to feel very fall so I stuck with dark tones. The shoes of course spiced this up along with the lipstick.

Thrifted Details:

  • Skirt: $2.00
  • Clutch: $2.50

Happy Fashion,

Karla.

SIGNS OF IMPROVEMENT

SIGNS OF PERSONAL IMPROVEMENT

The troubles that got him in trouble

Have certainly been re-arranged,,,

The signs that his self- worth has doubled–

Look at how he has changed!

He holds his tongue much better

When angry or tempted to say…

Some inane “to a female” comment

From which he could be blamed.

He’s striving more to be happy,

Working on his N scale rail line…

Piecing track together

So for him it will look fine..

And with extra cunning…

He could get it running,

He’s got the wire

And belly fire,

To make it really SOMETHING!

At home he’s changing to be

For his wife treating her gently…

Not as sore

Or keeping score,

Remembering his faults intently!

He seems in better mood,

Then what was formerly viewed…

His doctor sees

Realities

Are changing—the change is good!!!

John Muir House

I THINK I’VE BEEN THERE!

Laura Macky Photography

The other day I zipped over to see the John Muir House which is an historic site not too far from where I live, and it is where John Muir and his wife Louisa lived until his death in 1914.  The mansion was built in 1883 by Dr. John Strentzel, Muir’s father-in-law, with whom Muir went into partnership, managing his 2,600-acre (1,100 ha) fruit ranch.  Why I’ve never been there is beyond me.  It’s a self-guided free tour and you can even go inside the house.  I’m definitely bringing my wide angle lens next time I go.

For those of you unfamiliar with John Muir, he was a Scottish-American naturalist, author, environmental philosopher and early advocate of preservation of wilderness in the United States. His letters, essays, and books telling of his adventures in nature, especially in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, have been read by millions. His activism helped…

Why I Am Still A Virgin At 23 and Proud Of It

A PERSONAL ACCOUNT…WORTH READING.

the anomaly daughter

This is a bit of a sensitive topic, and a brave one to make given the current expectations of society and how everyone is ‘doing it’ these days and if you’re a virgin you are labelled a prude or something. But I wanted to be brave today and open up to you guys, because I think it is important to share from experience and what better way to actually preach about abstinence when you are actually practicing it right? I also think staying a virgin is not bad at all, and in fact it is really cool, and shows a lot of strength and Godly character in this world.

I should note here though that if anyone has given that gift away though, it doesn’t mean your not forgiven by God and it doesn’t mean you cannot be healed. God is the master healer and he can heal your heart…
