OCTOBER 8TH SUNSET

OCTOBER 8TH SUNSET

No big cloud accolades

As light slowly fades…

Orange-tipped clouds

On the horizon aren’t loud,

No jet trail escapades!

Bright turning foliage darkens

As sounds of nighttime harken…

Temperature drops

When sunlight stops,

No summer camp fires sparking!

People comment on the black,

They want their summer back…

New England agrees–

Like the turning trees–

Soon all those leaves will be stacked!
