THE MAN WITH A CANE

THE MAN WITH A CANE

You’ve seen the man with a cane,

He isn’t treated the same,

People really try

To help the guy,

Their eagerness is plain.

He often refuses assistance,

Encountering some resistance…

He politely says

I’m stronger these days,

Tomorrow I might need assistance!

His cane he finds necessary,

Of balance he must be wary…

Tipping over

Aren’t beds of clover,

In fact it’s rather scary!

Lawsuits we know abound,

It’s better on safer ground…

Accept help

If not for oneself,

‘Cause God’s love for people has no bounds!

(PLUS—winter is coming!)
