Daily missive for Wednesday the 21st of October.

Maybe I have no need
But I do concede
There to be
Very few truths
But as every child knows
If you hide behind
Your hands
You do become invisible.
It works every time
I saw it happen
One moment she was there
The next moment gone,
As mum played along
In her baby voice.
The one that sets most
Men on edge
When they hear it
Because they think
It sounds childish
Makes them look foolish.
Children need
To learn how to be…
And what to do
In the modern world
Not be shown how to
Coochy coo
And Scooby doo.
Playing games of tease
In motherese.
How will that help them
Solve a quadratic equation,
Find a cure for cancer,
Unify the world,
Be the one
With a word to match
Every occasion.
But hang on a minute,
Maybe you…
