CATHARSIS (reposted from THE MARVELPOUS MUMFORD BLOG)

CATHARSIS

When my pride hit the fan

Fantasy dropped in the can…

Attitude crashed,

Negativity lashed

My will in such a short span.

Thursday of that week

Emotion was up a creek…

Came crashing down,

No one around

To give comfort as I’d weep.

No therapist would talk,

Must concentrate and WALK…

No one there

Trained to care,

(At least no one mocked).

Didn’t have the Chaplain’s number,

Or a nurse who could help me get under…

Reasons why

I wanted to die,

But God came through with His wonder!
