EARLY IN THE MORNING,
The women came to see…
Who would roll away the stone,
Their spices they wouldn’t need.
–
The stone was big and heavy
But had been rolled away…
Visions of angels
Met them on Resurrection Day.
–
All their sorrow gone
They hurried away to tell…
The rest of His disciples
Of the silenced death knell!
–
Peter and John came running–
Not all believed of course,
Until Christ appeared to them
Behind locked doors!
–
But seeing isn’t believing
As even Scripture tells,
Some had doubts, did not believe,
WITHOUT FAITH…the flesh kills.
–
Come to the feasting–
See the open grave,
Christ is risen Sunday
Believer’s souls to save!
