Strawberry Goes Bright

LOVE IT!

Welcome back! For more info on my hair dye journey, click here.
Pt. 1: Black / Pt. 2: Brunette / Pt. 3: Auburn / Pt. 4: Bright / Pt. 5: Blonde / Pt. 6: Back to Her Roots

Next up, I stayed red but went with some unnatural, bright shades. I didn’t do either of these for long, as I don’t care for it. However, I think they can be a really fun option for natural redheads.

I used permanent and semi-permanent, and if you’re a redhead going brighter I’d recommend trying semi first. If you dislike it, it will wash out after a bit. It’s going to be really hard, however, to remove a bright permanent color.

Here I’ve used Adore Semi Permanent in a 50/50 mix of French Cognac and Ginger. (Reviews coming soon!) It came out very orange, in part because it was dyed over bleached hair…

Not One To Make Waves

AND DOESN’T NEED A SHOWER CURTAIN TO HELP KEEP THE FLOOR FROM GETTING SLIPPERY!

Backyard Bird Nerd

We’ve all heard it said of a mild-mannered person- “They’re just not one to make waves.” Well, let me be the first to tell you that this has NEVER been said of the Brown Thrasher.

This fellow, who has been patrolling my backyard ever since we put in the new birdbath, landed in the water the other day and then proceeded to gently stick his face under the surface.  It reminded me of those first days of swim lessons as a kid; but I knew better than to believe that he was the type that preferred just getting his face wet.

After testing the water, and finding it to his satisfaction, he was ready to start making some serious waves.

Whenever he stopped thrashing about (is his name fitting, or what!) he would pause and flash an open-beaked glare as if to say to any other bird in the vicinity, “Don’t even…

Sightless Isabelle

SO TOUCHING…

The Lonely Author

Sightless Isabelle

Isabelle heard cries
of terrorism & wars.
It so frightened this
little girl. She felt the
hate & envy circulate
like an awful venom
through this world.

Sightless Isabelle lives
a happy life where love
& hope will always rise.
The child feels blessed
she never witnessed
hatred with her eyes

My wife Allie found this in Google Images.

SHE WOULDN’T HELP CARRY IT.

My family’s aluminum canoe,

Was something I wanted to do…

But a girl said “no”

She would not go,

Even one wet shirt wouldn’t do!

By myself I couldn’t lift

And maneuver the family gift…

E’en though we’d marry

She refused to carry,

Our canoe o’er a single portage lift!

So, I had to leave it there,

Less chances of mountain lake air…

I’m up a creek

With no canoe of which to speak,

With my cane, forest walking takes care!

WHAT WOMANLY MUSCLES!!!! AND GREAT EXPERIENCES!

PARPARV

Hello my amazing readers,

One of the best ways to de-stress and rejuvenate is to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and venture out to the middle of nowhere and into the woods. I have been beyond stressed-out lately, to an unhealthy extent, so I can’t emphasize how badly I needed to get away (even just for a minute) and reconnect with nature.

Good morning world

GOOD MORNING, SARA….AN REALLY NICE SMILE YOU HAVE, FOR US TO WAKE UP TO! 🙂

Soara

Gooood morning in this early hour. It’s 7.15 am here and I’m up. It’s a sunny and a quite warm day here in Sweden but I’m going to be busy doing things inside today (sadface).

I hope you’ll have a good day today.

It’s a short post but I just wanted to say good morning.

Love, Sara.
