THE LORD WILL PROVIDE, by Carl Gooch

The Lord Will Provide

In the lonely quiet of night,
A father trembles in fright.
Tears pour down his cheeks,
He hasn’t had a job in weeks.

But the Lord hears his cry…
And the Lord will provide…
Yes, the Lord will provide.

The young mother weeps,
Her hungry child sleeps.
She know only the despair,
All the cupboards are bare.

But the Lord sees her pain,
And the Lord will provide…
Yes, the Lord will provide.

A man sees the hole he dug,
After he bowed to the drug.
He can’t shake it on his own,
Tried of this life he’s known.
He gets down on his knee…
Asking the Lord; please…

And God knows his heart,
And the Lord will provide…
Yes, the Lord will provide.
Our Lord does provide.
