I don’t have a lot of skirts in my closet because they aren’t super practical for running around the flower shop all day. But when I find a cute one on clearance — like this black and white tweed number from LOFT — I can’t resist scooping it up. I thought this mini skirt would work year-round: with a white tee and sandals in the warmer months, and a sweater and black tights when the temp drops.

Today I’m wearing it with a LOFT utility blouse, one of my favorite basic staples; I buy a couple colors and/or prints each season when they go on sale.
