A SONNET…GOOD STUFF!!!
THE BIRD WILL SING NO MORE (Sonnet)
Once the bird would soar freely in my sky
And sing a sweet melody just for me.
Her syrupy song would fill me with joy.
Now I can’t listen to her melody.
Sitting in the green branches of my mind
She would feel relaxed to open her heart
And pour a music carri’d by the wind
Everywhere – in the garden of my earth.
Suddenly a hunter came and shot her
When she was singing a song easefully.
Then she fell on the ground near the hunter
Who caged the injured bird happily.
Even my sky cries now for the poor bird
As her sweet melody will ne’er be heard.
