He saw his own regression,

Wanting people as possession…

They’d no choice

given a voice,

Nor any intercession!

He learned people aren’t things,

Not all of them have mood swings…

To keep one must

Maximize trust,

And treat them like people not things.

One cannot forever

Hold onto folks by a tether…

Let them go free

As company,

And their choice that you walk together!
