Today, more than ever we need to voice our opinions about women empowerment. I believe empowerment is the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and claiming one’s rights. I feel as women we continue to fight for these rights, all our lives. When we are young, we have to fight with our parents; when we work, we have to fight to prove our potential; and once we are married, we fight with our husbands and their family to gain back the little bit of control we once had on our lives.

It’s a constant battle for some of us; with all those who are round us and with ourselves. When do you give in and when do you speak up? How do you pick your battles? Is it really worth it?
