The dear wife wants to go somewhere:

We’ll make it Dresser Hill,

We’ll chow down on seafood

And ice cream as well…

We’ve needed a treat so long

And gone just nowhere,

At least it’s in the countryside

With healthy country air!

I used to come here summers,

With my family,

It was a special treat back then

With lots there to see…

My wife and I visited the place

Many years ago,

Was in the midst of owner change

It wasn’t open, though!

She wants sharing  a banana split

As I said we used to do,

Which often would be melted

Before our time was through…

Anticipating longer lines

This could take a while,

Prices still are not bad

And will be made poor with a smile!

Off it is to Dresser Hill,

A summer treat at last,

Been working and we both were sick

While summer scooted fast…

We’ll take our chances with long lines–

Popular at any time,

We might even find a table

And enjoy the inside to dine…

We might just get a table

Inside in which to dine!
