Often-times sleepily nodding,

He prays for something to get going…

He’ll be busy for

An hour or more,

Until the action’s slowing!

Needs more than coffee awake,

Takes more than caffeine to break…

Down the odds

By different jobs,

Rising like an earthquake!

Back and forth helping folk,

Giving self-humor a poke…

Alert now eyes,

Don’t view the job as a joke!

Sleep is farthest away,

When there’s activity displayed…

His mind won’t drift

Till the end of his shift,

When he goes home—the end of his day!
