Lord Have Mercy!…by Carl Gooch

Lord Have Mercy
In dark times I call on His name;
I cry out in my sorrow and shame.
Lord, look down on your sinful child
Though I don’t deserve your love..
Lord, have mercy… have mercy on me.
I know I’ve wandered from your way,
I haven’t shown your love each day.
Lord, I must confess I am so weak;
I turn to you, your strength I seek.
I’m pleading Lord, have mercy on me;
I’m a lowly prisoner of sin and misery.
I know I don’t deserve forgiveness.
But I plea, have mercy… Have mercy on me.
I’m so lost and all I can do is pray;
Lord I need you come to me today.
Gripped in pain I can hardly speak,
Loving Lord it is your mercy I seek.
I’m pleading Lord, have mercy on me;
I’m a lowly prisoner of sin and misery.
I know I don’t deserve forgiveness.
But I plea, have mercy… Have mercy on me.
Oh please have mercy… Have mercy on me.
