I needed Jesus

I needed Jesus
I thought I had it all figured out,
In my mind there was no doubt.
I’d do what I wanted when I pleased
Then life knocked me to my knees.
I needed Jesus as my Savior.
I don’t care how rich you are
That won’t get you very far.
Young or old, rich or poor,
You need Jesus as your Savior.
I was young, I knew what to do
I heard words I thought were true.
Nothing was wrong, everything fine,
Then one day I ran out of time.
I needed Jesus as my Savior.
I don’t care how rich you are
That won’t get you very far.
Young or old, rich or poor,
You need Jesus as your Savior.
I tried it my way, I went for the thrill
Little did I know my spirit it would kill.
Going through life grabbing all I could,
Then I found out money was no good.
All I needed Jesus as my Savior.
