Sailor Stripes

Stripes have a nautical summery look and remind me of a cute sailor outfit I had when I was a little girl. I bought this top with stripes while in New York City at Anthropologie.

I wore it to cross the Brooklyn Bridge with white capris …

… and to the Brooklyn Flea Market with black capris.

What I especially love is that it has a yoke that looks like houndstooth from a distance but is actually little bunnies.

Ahhh, tweed! When I hear the word ‘tweed’, my mind immediately wanders to those iconic black-and-white photos of Coco Chanel wearing a tweed piece (or two). While I wait for my own full-of-Chanel wardrobe (a girl can dream!) I can wear this beautiful tweed skirt, bought for a risorial fraction of the price.

Today was a cold-but-not-too-cold day. This outfit is thought for those kind of days, where you want to be cozy but still look stylish. If it gets too cold, just add black opaque thights and a black blazer and you’re done!
