SALVATION BUT NOT BY WORKS

All other religions in town,

Try to knock Christians down…

With smug smirks

they say our works

Don’t compare with theirs for a crown!

Our God is the only One,

Who saves based on what’s already been done…

All of us fall short–

Would lose in court,

The one work accepted–His son!

The Christ, coequal as God,

Submitted Himself (which is odd)…

All humans I knpow

Would want to blow

Our horns and rule with a rod,

The Christ didn’t come this way,

Being a servant His FIRST stay…

Upon His return

The heavens will burn,

All evil will b e swept away!
