The Lady in the Blue Box

After weeks of brooding and nothing but writing, I came out of my Nottingham shell and partied with the pirates.

And a French gypsy.

You’d probably get that reference from my title if you’ve seen the Disney movie Hunchback of Notre Dame, which features the very first sugared up cartoon version of a popular yet depressing Victor Hugo novel of the same name. Privateer Festival, or what I like to call the Fells Point Pirate Fest, was held last weekend, the 21st and 22nd, where people got dressed up in corsets and feathered hats, in celebration of true American history that took place in Fells Point, Baltimore City hundreds of years ago during the Revolution against England.
