Pitch Black

Musings Of An Autistic Mind

You pull at my heartstrings

Deep down in the darkness I feel hands

Doing backflips over my broken parts

Flying deep into the nuclear waste

I don’t know how you pull out the pain

Wrapping your hands around my wounds

Reversing the poison, making me anew

You look so good in blue, but I’m feeling green

Unless I’ve got you beside me

I’m walking through the pitch black darkness

All I feel is the pavement beneath my feet

But I know I’m walking the right path

I’d rather be flying into the storm

With you I’m stronger, with you I’m higher

You taught me to be unafraid of my friends

And keep enemies closer

So when it hits the fan, they catch it all

Lightning strikes twice, but I get stronger

Soon enough I’ll be able to survive on my own

Without your help
