Prayer for December 17th

Just as Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the people, I reach out my hands to heaven, for my help is in the Lord.

O Lord, my God there is no other like you, in heaven or earth. You keep your promise and show your love to your servant. The promises you made to my father and his father before him you have kept. Not one has been left unattended.Blessed am I O Lord that I may serve you; May your word forever be my guide. You my God are greater than my mind can know the highest heaven cannot contain you. How can I, your servant grasp just how magnificent you truly are?  I don’t understand, I just know, and so place my trust in you.

Lord, I seek to follow you daily, yet I stumble over the things I have placed in my path. I have allowed my ego and pride to lead me in wrong directions. I have placed my desires over your will. I have sought my pleasure instead of the needs of my brothers and sisters. I have stood silent when I should have proclaimed your truth. I turn to you for strength and guidance. Lord, purge from my heart anything that is not of you. O Lord my God, hear my plea that your servant prays this day. Remember not the foolishness of my youth but remember your Son and the blood He shed that I may come before you as a child comes to his Father.Loving Father I humbly ask that you wrap your loving arms around my family and keep them in your tender care. Let them see you at work in them and those around them that they may come to know you on a more personal level. Please be in the hearts of our nation’s leaders that they may make their rulings based on your word. Send your Holy Spirit upon your church once again. Strengthen the Pastors and church leaders that only your way is followed and your word is taught. Instill in every member of your church through out the world a burning desire to follow you alone.Lord, in thanksgiving I praise your Holy name; for you alone are my God. May my life be a reflection of your love and mercy. You guide my steps as I walk with you. Your love knows no bounds.May you be forever praised. In Jesus Holy name I pray.

Amen
